Foyle Cycling Club Privacy Policy
Foyle Cycling Club (FCC) is concerned about privacy issues and wants users to be familiar with how we collect, use and disclose information. This Privacy Policy covers the collection and use of information for FCC’s website, Facebook Page, Facebook Group and emails. By using FCC’s website, Facebook Page, Facebook Group and receiving FCC emails, users agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.
FCC Website
The FCC website (https://www.foylecycling.net) does not collect analytics. FCC website makes use of Wix. See their Privacy Policy statement at the link below
Cookies on Third Party Websites
FCC make use of third party websites, such as social networking sites, e.g. Facebook and YouTube and mapping websites, e.g. Strava. This is not an exhaustive list of the third party websites FCC use. These sites may place cookies on a user’s computer.
FCC does not have any control over the way that these sites use user’s data. Users should read their respective privacy policies carefully to find out what happens to any data that is collected when they use these services and to consider whether they want to opt out.
Mass Email (MailChimp)
FCC email subscriber details may be held on servers located outside the EU. If users do not wish to have their email information held outside the EU, they can use the unsubscribe link on each email or contact chair@foylecycling.net
Once unsubscribed, the individual will no longer receive FCC emails via MailChimp and their email address will be deleted from the relevant MailChimp mailing list as soon as practical.
Mass emails sent by FCC may contain tracking facilities within the actual email. Subscriber activity is tracked and stored in a database for future analysis and evaluation. Such tracked activity may include; the opening of emails, forwarding of emails, the clicking of links within the email content, times, dates and frequency of activity. This is not a comprehensive list of tracked activities.
This information is used to refine future mass emails and supply the user with more relevant content based around their activity.
In compliance with UK Spam Laws and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 subscribers are given the opportunity to unsubscribe at any time through an automated system. An unsubscribe link is provided in the footer of each email.
Where FCC Store Information
The information collected from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). It may also be processed by suppliers operating outside the EEA who provide services for us. Such suppliers may be engaged in, among other things the provision of support services. By submitting your personal information, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. FCC will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
External Sites
FCC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites. Users are advised to read the privacy policy of external sites before disclosing any personal information.
FCC cannot guarantee or verify the contents of any externally linked website despite their best efforts. Users should therefore note they click on external links at their own risk and FCC cannot be held liable for any damages or implications caused by visiting any external links mentioned.

FCC may change this Privacy Policy. Please look at the Last Updated date at the top of this page to see when this Privacy Policy was last revised. Any changes will become effective when FCC post the revised Privacy Policy on the FCC website. Use of FCC’s website, Facebook Page, Facebook Group and receiving FCC emails following these changes means that users accept the revised Privacy Policy.
