Foyle Cycling Club’s vision is to be the premier cycling club in the north west with an emphasis on inclusivity, fun and a focus on all levels of participation in leisure, racing, sportive, and mountain biking events. The club welcomes women, men, and young people to its ranks.
Foyle Cycling Club has club runs around the roads of the North West on most Saturdays and Sundays at 09:00 from Templemore Sports Complex, Buncrana Road.

Foyle Cycling Club has club runs around the roads of the North West on most Saturdays and Sundays at 09:00am from Templemore Sports Complex, Buncrana Road, Derry / Londonderry, BT48 7QL.
WHO
FCC club members and non-members with Cycling Ireland insurance / licence (please bring your licence with you). Guest cyclists / beginners can join us for 3 introductory rides before committing to a Cycling Ireland licence.
HOW
Please ride a mechanically sound road bike, wear appropriate warm / bright clothing, bring a water bottle, spare tube, tyre levers, a pump and something to eat.

BEGINNER / NEWCOMER
We were all beginners once. Our members encompass a wide variety of abilities; from those just getting into road cycling, competitive racers and those getting in 7,000+ miles per year. We have a large membership which means there are plenty of people to ride with.
HEALTH
You should have a basic level of fitness that means you are capable of cycling 35 to 40 miles. If you have any doubts about your fitness, please consult your doctor before taking part.
BENEFITS OF JOINING A CYCLING CLUB
When you become a member of the club you also join Cycling Ireland and so benefit from cycling insurance. That is reassuring when you are out on the road and allows you to concentrate on enjoying the social aspect of cycling.

Joining a cycling club can be daunting. What if I can’t keep up? What if I don’t like it?

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Costs vary depending on the type of licence required. Club membership includes Cycling Ireland insurance. For the complete range of licences available and their prices, please contact membership@foylecycling.net
WHAT DO I NEED?
Foyle Cycling Club is predominantly a road cycling club so we advise you use a road bike.
If you do not have a road bike and would like advice on what to purchase or have another type of bicycle and want to know if you can use that, please contact membership@foylecycling.net
