Foyle Cycling Club’s Inishowen 100 sportive ( i100 and i60 routes ) are taking place on
Sunday 21st August 2022.
Its finaly that time of year we are proud to announce our 2022 edition of our i100,
after a very difficult couple of seasons we are going to have another go at moving forward with this iconic event.

We have limited numbers of riders and riders must strictly adhere to our rules, so we have the Inishowen 100 and the Inishowen 60 routes, riders must adhere to the route they have entered, PLEASE PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION PACK that will be attached to the email sent to you, this is for us to administer your safety which is the utmost importance and we have limited cover over the vast scale of the two events
If you missed this year’s Inishowen 100 sportive, get training and watch out for the 2022 event.
The Inishowen 100 sportive is the Club’s blue ribbon event and continues to increase in numbers, attracting cyclists wishing to tackle some of the toughest hills in Ireland.
The i100 route covers approximately 102 miles and encompasses the beautiful coastline of the Inishowen peninsula and the challenging climbs at Mamore Gap and Kinnego Bay.
Cyclists who feel they are not experienced or fit enough for the i100 can attempt the i60 which covers approximately 64 miles, missing out the more challenging climbs of the i100. We like to think of it as the i100’s little brother!

Mamore Gap – Five Fingers Strand – Glengad – Kinnego Bay
This sportive should only be undertaken if you have trained for such an event. With approximately 7,280ft of climbing including Mamore Gap, which has the steepest gradient over one kilometre in Ireland, this route is not for the faint-hearted.

INISHOWEN 100 MILES
The i60 route covers approximately 64 miles and encompasses the beautiful coastline of the Inishowen peninsula but misses out the more challenging climbs.
The route is still challenging with approximately 3,491ft of climbing and is an ideal starter if you want to build up to the full i100.
Think of it as the i100’s little brother.
