Fellow Club members,
Over the past few years, FCC has been actively promoting Autumn /Winter indoor
training initiatives. At present, a very successful programme of ‘Circuit
Training’ geared specifically towards the cyclist is well underway at Energie Gym in the
very capable hands of Sammy McFadden. This current programme is due to complete
on Thurs 24th November (8th & final week). On its completion, we have further
negotiated with Energie an excellent deal using their dedicated spinning room
specifically for FCC members. A further 8 week programme of cycling specific
training will be offered using their spinning suite. We have engaged the
services of one of Derry’s leading personal fitness instructors for this who has
put together a great programme of cycling specific classes (Endurance training,
interval training, hillclimbs etc. using heart rate monitors if you have one!)
all delivered in his own very unique way.
The 1st session will be held on Thurs 1st Dec 8-9pm
lasting 8 weeks and is open to all FCC members. The total cost of the programme is £25
(paid in advance) for the 8 weeks – (this equates to approx. £3/session) – very reasonable.�
Bikes are limited – so we will take the first 23 names who wish to participate.
Word was spread on last weekend’s well attended Saturday’s club run and already
interest is high so please don’t delay in getting your name in for this. Its
ideal training for all levels of fitness – from those looking to consolidate
their summer fitness to new/returning FCC club members or simply to those who
want to shed a few pounds in the lead up to and after the festive season. No better way
to do it than group exercise amongst fellow FCC members.
As usual, the gym provide full use of their changing facilities, showers, sauna
& steam room afterwards.
